HANKOOK VENTUS ST RHO6-Product Opinion
#32
Got the tires mounted this morning. They look sweet and have a good looking footprint. It's pouring down rain here and all I have done so far is drive to work. More in depth review to come after I have put some miles on them.
But first impression, my truck feels a bit quicker with the slightly smaller diameter tires (265/70/17 to 275/60/17)... but that might just be me too.

got mine put on yesterday. love them. well really got three put on with my new centerline's, 275-45-20 one had a hole in the sidewall from shipping somehow.
got them for 520 mounted and balanced and other tire be on today at 230pm.
truck rides so nice. i love this these wheel and tire package way more then the stock ss wheels with 275-55-20.
now i just waiting on my drop kit from ALF memeber on here.

Follow up review...
First the pro's:
These tires are the shiznit! They make my tahoe feel almost like a sports car. But I must also disclose that I went with a wider and shorter tire (from 265/70/17 to 275/60/17), so the braking improvement and quicker acceleration are most likely a direct result of that alone. But these tires grip! And also, possibly due to the lower profile as well, but the tires feel much more planted when driving over an uneven surface or small potholes.
And the cons:
Although I haven't taken a road trip on them yet, they seem a little bit louder (only slightly, they are still a quiet tire) at highway speeds than the Michelin Cross Terrains they replaced. The Bridgestone Duellers I had before the Michelins were flipping LOUD on the highway. The Hankooks cost much less than the Cross Terrains though, so hard to fault them at all. Although nothing to do with the tire really, but they look a tad small in the Tahoe's large wheel well, but Eibach 3" rear drop springs are in the mail, so hopefully that will help, and help the handling as well.
Overall, I am very happy with these tires and would buy them again over the Cross Terrains for a performance SUV or truck, especially due to the price. They have an aggressive tread design, but it isn't too over the top like the Nitto 420s, because I am going for the sleeper, still stock looking and sounding appearance.

I've yet to have a complaint about mine.
I had some used 265/60/17's on my truck and a friend in a V8 Titan owned me on the launch because i just spun and spun while trying not to, until about 65 when I went flying by. Put my Ventus 275/45/20"s back on the other day and tried to launch and holy ****. It launched!!!!.
******* love these tires.

I've been running these tires for the past 2 yrs or so, and I love them. Very cost effective, even on 20's (275/45/20). I also have them filled with nitrogen for less trips to the air pump and less wear on the inside from eroding.

Snow and performance tires don't mix. I had a hell of a time getting up my driveway last time it snowed. I'd keep a winter set of stockers.
They are rated for 30k.
I put min on in July of 08, put 24k on them the first year, same the second, and about 1/2 that this year and just now put new ones on the other day.
And i'm HARD on them. I'd launch wot several days a week. Just moved up from 275/45/20 to 295/45/20 and it just barely spins off the line now.
