cheaperthandirt.com is one of my favorite sites for ammo, mags, etc.

You can get surplus 5.45 x 39 for about $150/1000 rounds.

I know the surplus ammo is cheap, but gotta find a place to shoot it. Most places around here won't let you shoot steel core rifle rounds.

I found two places that allow FMJ rifle rounds, and only one of them specifically allows milsurp rounds to be shot.

I would just go to cheaper than dirt off of loop 820. I think it's better than paying for shipping. Plus the guys in there seem like gun nuts anyway and they may be able to point you in the right direction in finding a place to shoot it. If you haven't been in there..... Go!!! It's awesome. I moved out here to the great state of TEXAS for Califuckya where they concider a gun with a pistol grip an assult rifle. **** you can't even hunt there with lead bullets anymore. That store will have anything you want for it probably. Not to mention the assortment of guns they have. You will want something else by the time you leave.
