Not trying to sound like an ******* or anything, but saving $50 off a car is a ******* joke.
But anyways, overall the program sounds cool, but I'd never wanna buy something that has been rented. You know how people treat rentals

I hear you that $50 isn't much. but most Referrals only offer the referrer money and not the buyer. $50 is $50 plus the prices the cars have already been marked down at.
The cars that are beat on are usually the ones that do not make it to this program as they've had more than X amount of repairs done to them. But that's why you should take it to a dealer first. There are plenty of cars that are still good as new.
I've rented a Taurus with 28K miles on it and it only had minor scrapes that you would expect, Mechanically it was as you would expect from a car with 28k on it.
It's appealing to some and not to others. We do what we can to screen out the bad ones. Just trying to help out anyone that's interested.

I do want to point out:
If you see $50 on the sidewalk are you going to stop and pick it up or just walk by?
2nd. The thing about purchasing a used car is you never know how bad the other person has beat on it so being a rental doesn't mean it's been beat on more or less. You also don't know if the owner ever changed the oil or took it in for maintenance. Rentals Always have the oil changed and get inspected regularly.

Chya right. Rental companies usually buy base model stuff. don't have a huge budget to splurge on extra things like that as the demand for it would make it a waste.
Base model 4.8 regular cab silverado's is all i've seen so far. However there should be some EC's out there.

Last year I bought a 2008 grand am gxp from a dealer that used to be a rental.Had 28k on it now has 58k w/ 0 problems so far. You'd think that car would have been beat on but,it was/is in very good condition for a ex-rental.I picked it up for 15400 too which I thought was a good deal.
