drill several deep holes in it and pour diesel in. i use a 7/8" x 16" long auger drill bit. light it and it will burn long enough to burn it out

or they have stuff now that you can pour in and it makes them decay rapidly.

Go to an equipment rental place and rent a stump grinder. Should work just fine. A lot less labor intensive..

Go to home depot and rent a tree stump grinder.... That is what my father did. It grinds it down ~1-2 inches below the dirt line...

We've always drilled pretty deep holes in them without pouring anything down there and we haven't had problems with them coming back...

I have always taken a chainsaw and cut a checkerboard into the stump. (crosshatches) After that is done, take a round-concentrate and pour it all over it.

Dynamite, or Get a 2" Hole saw and drill down the center for 3-4 feet with an auger and then as mentioned abover burn the ****** down with diesel. works wonders and makes lots of black smoke
