I recently quit caffiene all together... before I quit drinking it, I would get heartburn and headaches... it all cleared up almost immediately after giving it up

religiously have a liter of mt. dew throughout the day and 32 oz gatorade and 3-4 bottles of water.

My heart burn was getting terrible. It went away immediately when I quit caffeine

How the hell do you quit caffeine? I work a rotating shift so I drink a lot of mountain dew throwback and 1 5 hour energy per work day.

I work 12 hour shifts. 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off. Except, I hardly ever get 4 days off. I'm thinking about starting to drink kool aid and juice instead of so much pop.

Caffeine and sodium benzoate:

Oral: 300 mg as a single dose

Stimulant/diuretic (unlabeled use): I.M., I.V.: 500 mg, maximum single dose: 1 g

OTC labeling (stimulant): Oral: 100-200 mg every 3-4 hours as needed

Per lexi comp.com

There other unlabeled uses that have up to 2 grams a day


Some of this is open for interpretation per weight/tolerance/etc

I Work shift work as well... dupont schedule: I work fri, sat, sun, mon nights, off tues, weds, Thurs, work days fri, sat sun, off mon... then I work tues weds thurs nights, off fri, sat, sun, work mon-thurs, then I am off from fri til the following fri... 12 hour shifts, 28 day cycle, off 14 of them... confusing, I know... but yea its tough giving up caffeine, luckily I get to sleep most of the nights I work
