Angry I give up trying to jailbreak my iphone

This **** is impossible. I think I've racked up over 5 hours of restoring my iphone from all the times it has failed to work

I'm trying it one more time on a different USB port and then I'm done.

toss it and get a Droid

No, I heard on the news yesterday that someone has released software that does it easy and completely.

Are you doing the right procedure for the right firmware version you have?

Yes, Blackra1n, which I am using and it is not working.

Blackra1n says "Entering recovery mode" and gets stuck there. I have Blackra1n in C: like all the online tutorials say, I have even tried sticking it in with the apple files like I have read on other forums. I have tried it in compatibility mode for XP sp2, and running as admin. I have restored my phone to 3.1.2 a million times, and my carrier settings are 5.11.07 which is right before the update to 5.12.07 which you cannot jailbreak.

I've restarted the phone, restarted the computer, tried different USB ports. Same thing happens every time. I am going to try it again trying to run it in vista mode which seems to work for some people.

So far the multiple app thing is nice, but still getting used to how to do things. Right now everything seems complicated and I'm really not sure which apps I need to do what, and how to make them do it, but I'm sure after a few days I'll have it down pretty good.
