If only I could talk the wife into it...but with the baby coming and my current truck project, she says no way. I'd love to swap my 5.3 and 4L60E into this thing and have a total rat rod with a modern mill. I keep trying to sway her though...

 

If it has a solid body, that could be tons of fun! I would think you would want a twin turbo LS7 with a monster cam in it though.

Considering the past shoddy bodywork I would be scared of it. Could make a sweet truck if you have the time and skills tho. Looks like a lot of metal would need to be replaced as well, along with the dodge tailgate and bed LOl. If you could snag it for $500 it might be worth it.....

 

Too bad it's in CA, and the shipping alone is a grand...plus, I'm not a big fan of buying vehicles without seeing them first. For all I know, the frame might be ready to disintigrate. All that aside, the big problem is the wife says NO WAY, NO HOW!

That would be cool too...but what I'm hoping to do some day is build some sort of rat rod on the outside with new technology on the inside. Especially since I'll be keeping my 5.3 and 4L60E when I do the LQ9/65E swap.

I tried giving the wife the sad face and puppy dog eyes, and showed her some pics of other 55 pickups selling for anywhere from $7000 to $20,000, but she still aint takin the bait
