In my line of work i'm going to agree with that. I get asked questions by customers that they could answer themselves if they would have attempted to just do what they are asking about.
I have some great examples, but from previous experiences I'm not going to post them up. People are real woohoo's if they feel like you made them look dumb.

Some of our clients have actually requested that we put "out of service" signs over the "out of service" screen. Yeah figure that one out.
