Into fighting?
I am fighting in our local Toughman contest and won last night. I fight again tonight and if I win my first I will fight a second. Win that and I win my bracket.

Also, mix up your punches. Left, right hook is ok, however those are higher power punches, and they'll tire you out faster, especially if they don't make contact. It uses roughly twice as much energy to throw a punch that doesn't land. Don't forget the jab and straight.

The Toughman contest has had several people die recently so they do all they can to try to protect themselves from lawsuits. It's debatable whether or not it should be sanctioned as I think some states won't sanction it.

They used to have it around here way back in the day. My mom's husband actually won one, but they haven't had one in years and years as far as I know, and I know it had to be in the early-90's when he did. I'd probably do it if I had a head's up so I could start running some more and getting my cardio in. I used to like fighting, but I made a promise to myself a while back that I wouldn't anymore unless someone popped me first.

It is a lot of fun. They have always required head gear. They supply everything besides our bodies. I fight tonight and will post video regarless if I win or loose. I will also post some video of any other good fights from the night.
