What annoys me the most is when people say "STALL" instead of "Torque Converter"... Plus saying STALL makes you sound like a freaking retard...

-One that really bugs me is when someone says they have "Headers" when they own a 4 cyl. vehicle
-Another one is when import guys refer to a distributor as a "dizzy" ...It really shows the lack of intelligence in the rice crowd..kinda lazy

O but I did have one kid keep telling me I should put a racing chip on my truck this weekend at the track.

I told him it is dyno tuned. He said, well come by my friends shop and we will put a racing chip in it.

Its tuned dude, doesn't need a "racing chip"....BRO.

I was going to say the same thing, it's a "converter" and "stall" is the engine speed where it basically starts to move the vehicle, ie: 3000 RPM Stall Torque Converter.

I used to get annoyed with the Engine/Motor thing, until someone asked me "if it's an engine, why do they call those things that bolt it to the frame 'motor mounts'?" Hmmm, good point.

As long as we all can communicate, using the correct terminology or not, I guess it's all good, some things just sound wierd...like "I'm putting a Trailblazer Stall in my truck"...

Man you should have taken him up on that offer, I hear those chips add some serious HP.

Ok, how bout this one then. None of us FI guys actually have intercoolers, we run aftercoolers. An intercooler is a heat exchanger used by aircrafts to cool the intake chargers between their compound systems. And unless we're all running compound systems we are actually using aftercoolers.
