Well **** looking at the greenhulk site these guys got there 2 stroke Yamahas in the mid 70s & 80s.. I Havnt dug super deep yet so maybe I'm posting too soon, but it doesn't sound like a full on race machine to me..?

 

ALOT MORE then you think. TRUST ME. If your not familiar with them or boats. It takes alot to get 10mph. Kinda like when your running 11's and want to go 10's. LOL

 

Yeah water is a bitch I suppose... Looking ar these RXP's there's a low hour 05 for 5k on eBay. I dunno if that's a good price or not cuz I'm just starting to look into them. I guess it doesn't seem outrageous to me..? However apparently these 05's have supercharger problems & have to be serviced at 100hrs. Also from what I've read the charger should be upgraded to a 06+ model for reliability reasons.... That's a lot of fawking work right off the bat lol!! Are these machines absolute money pits??

 

Boats stands for B ail O ut A nother T housand LOL. The older ones I think had issues with breaking blower/impeller bolts.

 

here's a pic of my ski.its a 07 gp1300r.i love it..it's stock for now and i outrun my cousons 05 honda turbocharged 1200 and i outrun a ultra 250.a guy in my town has a ultra 300.i haven't raced him yet.mine runs 68mph with gps.like mangled said any stock ski won't run over 70mph.i've herd of ppl putting exhaust,programmer,ride plate etc. on these ski's and says they will run 74-75.they stopped making the gpr's in 08 and alot of ppl love them so there getting kinda hard to find one at a decent price.i seen a 06 just like mine on craigslist last week and guy wanted 6500.if i was gone buy a new one i'd buy a yamaha rzr.they got a 1.8 litre supercharged motor.they cost less than a ultra 300 and faster

 

Are the Yamaha rzr like brand new? I'm not looking at spending 10+k looking at keeping it under 5 if that's possible for a nice machine?

I just baught a 05 Honda Turbo f-12x last month. I really like it. Top speed is 62mph but thats plenty for me. But if u do buy a ski and plan on upgrading performance exspect to dish out some cash. Stuff is really exspensive. Just like mangled said, u will only get a couple mph out of maybe a grand of upgrades.

Going friday to buy a 92 procraft bass boat with a 200hp Mercury. Wife wants somthin more for the family.

 

Any and all Jet Ski owners please chime in on what you got & how you like it!! Fastest sit down I've been on is that ultra 150 which is prolly isn't really that fast..? Fastest stand up I've been on is a friends Polaris Octane. That Octane really is something else. Now that I think about it I'm almost leaning towards a stand up!
