just a quick update. i got both heads off, and aparently lost 2 rods. i can chove the #2 and #1 pistons down into the block by hand. somehow the heads made it out alive though. 4 bent valves but not too bad. i dropped the heads off with craig gallant yesterday. for anyone in the houston area he has a VERY impressive place over there.

they are upgrading me to ferra valves all the way around. 2.02 intake and 1.58 exhaust, checking the springs and resetting them, reporting the heads by hand, opening the combustion chamber up to 4" bore and reworking it, re-angling the valves to 16* (i think thats the right angle) and polishing the runners and bowl. i wish i grabbed some before pictures of my patriots.

they showed me one of their completed heads next to mine and....well lets just say that it made the budget patriot head look like ****. i cant wait to see the results!

Damn you Stewart! That is gonna be a sick setup! I think you'll be really happy with the new motor. The only thing I think you won't like is the extra 70 pounds up front...
