no one makes a .308 uppper for the .223 or 5.56 lower, gotta buy a dedicated lower for that caliber

Wow, I definitely didn't read the side of the receiver. I do know of a long action that will bolt up to it. It's that company Bohica. They make a 50BMG upper that bolts cleanly to the 5.56 lower

It's too bad really because it would be a perfect weapon for tactical matches. 5.56 for rapid fire, swap the upper and have a bolt action .308 for the long range stuff.

Nice, what scope are you running and is that front sight post blocking it?

A cheap BSA scope for now, just wanted to see how I liked a scope on a carbine. I'll probably pick up a nicer mount and a Nikon if I like it, if not I'll just put an Eotech on it.

And no it doesn't block the scope at all.

I ran a Nikon Monarch on my bolt rifle for a while there. I believe it was a 4-12x42. Great little scopes even shooting at range for groups. Really good for the money too. The only reason I got rid of it was I shot at a steel target and 200 yrds and the ricochet came back and smashed the first objective. Another decently priced brand is Vortex. I know more than one of my Marines with one of their Viper scopes on an AR platform.

Well the scope mount was bent, so I ditched the scope idea and just swapped out handguards for now until I can afford an Eotech.
