Default Kitchen remodel

Since I don't have a vehicle to spend all my money on anymore, the house seemed like the next best thing

After 5 years of hating my crappy kitchen and the useless "dining room" in my house, I decided it's time to make some changes.

I have a family friend who is a contractor by day. He is helping me with all of the remodel work, which involves building a laundry room where the kitchen used to be (water heater, washer, and dryer are in the garage right now) and moving the kitchen into the old dining room area. That will give me lots more room in the garage, lots of needed storage area inside since I don't have **** for storage in this house, and a HUGE kitchen that is open to the rest of the living area. I am WAY excited for this

Here's the before pics. The kitchen was very isolated from the rest of the house, which would be fantastic if I had a wife that I didn't like. Not so great for me though!

Today was demo-day.

In progress:

Demo complete:

Cabinets will be here April 9. Lots of other work to do between now and then....I'm getting pretty excited Just wanted to share.

These are the cabinets I ordered. Aristokraft brand, in Cherry. I'm planning on getting new stainless steel appliances and some dark color granite countertops, should go nicely together

I don't even know why you need a kitchen Chris. I say leave it open! There will be more room for beer pong tables! You could hold tournaments that way

All I need is a fridge and a microwave personally....

Should look nice when it's all done...I like stainless appliances...and tool boxes
