same exact thing happened to my sister's boyfriend, he was cutting by a ditch also, he kept his toe, hope ya heal

A guy at the shop I worked at, a drunk btw, decided it would be a good idea to clean the grass out from the mower - while it was running. Lost 2 fingers or so, his best friend at work was chopping wood and split his foot with the ax, peas in a pod...
good luck on healing up buddy, looks disgusting and painful but not nearly as bad as it could have been.
