you know, they came with a 413 wedge motor. and the lincoln came with a 426! stump pullers! I am not really looking for all out power, just enough to sound healthy and go when I need it to go. the stock motors with a few small updates should work

the 51 Merc. is my dream sled, one day...

but as for a lead sled project u have to go with a round body style 50's car, ie the marc, buicks, chevy shoe box fords... a lead sled 52 chevy 2door business deluxe would be a great project... only thing about these style cars is that they benefit from chopped top and sometimes channeled bodies, which is really expensive or difficult to do if ur do it urself...
