Our latest addition. Ace the great dane, 15 weeks old, white blue eyes and a ball of fun. Had him for about 7-8 weeks now.
His parents are huge. He is on track to be a monster one day. He is in obidience and basic training classes and doing very well. Smart and very open to learning new commands.

Coudln't get him to sit well, he wanted to play more. Went with natural ears and kind of regretting it now. They are getting taped up next vet visit to make them lay more natural.

We had it all setup to be done and backed out. He had very pretty natural ear till about a week ago then they went crazy. Had they of went crazy before the cutoff of getting cropped done, well he would be cropped for sure.

Well it's been an interesting year for dogs in our family. My Chocolate lab sadly had to be put down due to Chronic Kidney Failure earlier this year. I've never been more attached to a dog and this is still hard to deal with. I would have given anything for my son to be able to meet and grow up with her. She would have been an amazing dog.

My Golden we had to find a new home last month cause she started showing aggression towards our 1 year old son and actually bit him (didn't break skin but didn't let go). She was a great dog, just didn't want to risk anything. We found her a home with a retired gentleman who lives alone. She spends the entire day around the house with him and riding around in his truck and sleeps in his bed at night. She is in heaven and he absolutely adores her. For a shitty situation it's the best possible outcome.

My parent's golden had to be put down as well. She was 14 year old and was just her time. This was easier to deal with cause she lived a very good life, still bummer to see her go.

So fast forward to last night. We had been looking for a new dog to add to our family and think we have found the perfect match.

he is 7 months old and between 80-90 lbs right now. he is a completely gentle giant. Very gentle with our son and for 7 months well behaved. We have an appointment with the VET today to have our local guy look him over but I am feeling really good about this so far =)
