she loves her deer carcasses though!
Yea little bit but I did everything I could to try and give my lab the best life possible. Well over 10k later, many surgeries and medications it just caught up with her.

The Golden still baffles me. Have had 3 goldens before her and she was not like your typical golden. Maybe she would have done better once she got a little older but dunno.

The hips are what did it for my parent's golden. Middle of winter and she could barely stand up. Any slippery surface or stairs were just to much for her.

how old is your oldest? Looks like doggy heaven with that deer.

i dont have a dog of my own right now, but i had one when i lived with my folks. She was a dudley lab. (basically an albino lab) i got her as a stray and she was pregnant so i ended up with 11 puppies from it all.

^^ we are the same way. we brought the St Bernard home as a trial run and I could tell just from the car ride home he wasn't going to be leaving unless something drastic happened.
