its easy for people that have never served or are in a leather seat in a cubicle or an elected office to argue and not make a decision for the people that are protecting their families and providing them the opportunity to have a cushy job

Yup same here. We're only getting paid up to the 8th. **** just got real. Now we have to wait for those ******** in Washington to pull their heads out of their asses. Tomorrow morning, when I wake up for my mission, I'm flying for free.

Just think, people like me are fixing what you fly, for free. Not saying anybody would do somethng stupid on perpose but, when morale is at an all time low like it's goin to be bad things can happen. People minds aren't where they should be and that's when mistakes happen. But congress don't seem to get that.

I am former military and I feel your pain, in fact I am still a federal employee so I am feeling the pain as well, just got the email,we are only getting part of our check we already earned, and none during the shutdown but we are still expected to report to work everyday. Pisses me off.

this "excepted" position **** is just that...****. I feel for you guys man, when i was in the military, i don't know if i would show up on monday. ******* congress is pathetic. they all need to be removed from office and let their pay take up the slack for the military.

I agree...if the house or the senate didnt get paid...I bet this **** would never happen.

Due to the potential shutdown of the federal government, we have "taken down" all Leave and Earnings Statements (LESes) or "Advice of Pays" for Active Duty Military and Reservists. We will re-post LESes when we receive more information on the shutdown or enacted legislation that authorizes pay beyond April 8
All military will get paid on April 15.
If a CRA or appropriation is not passed before April 15, military members will be paid on April 15 for the period of April 1-8, approximately one half their normal mid month pay.
If a CRA or appropriation is passed by Tuesday, April 12, military members will receive their full pay for duty served from April 1-15 on April 15.
If a CRA or appropriation is not until after April 12, DFAS will pay military members for the period of April 9-15 within 3 days of an appropriation or CRA being passed.
