Default midsize suv?

Hey guys were about to buy a new suv, and are looking for some real world experience and pros and cons. We don't want to spend over 18,000 and want the lowest miles possible. So far we've looked at 07 toyota 4runners and chevy trailblazers, maybe mazda CX7? I'd appreciate any info you got.

My wife has a lincoln aviator which is basically a nice explorer. It has a 4.6 32valve v8 in it though and will scoot pretty good for what it is. Its nice, gets 18 on the highway(running 75-80) and 15 average with her semi heavy foot. We both like it and is loaded with all kinds of nice gadgets. Auto climate control, heated and cooled seats, backup sensors, 3 row seating, 5 speed trans, we're happy with it so far. Its got 140K on it right now with no problems except for a rear end replacement at 40K(was my moms since new). They stopped making them in 05 I believe but you can find some that grandma had and didnt drive much for mid teens.

I just picked up an 07 Ford Edge AWD. Low miles and cheap.18.6. Love it. I am a chevy guy threw and threw but I couldn't beat the price. It looks small from the outside but once you get in and drive you realize its roomy.. And the best part is I fill up once a week rather then 3!!!

I'd look into a GMC Acadia and Ford Edge are nice now the new Ford Edge look pimp i think they come with some 20's that look really sporty. Jeep Commanders are nice too but kinda pricey. Toyota 4runner Im sure you can find a deal on one Im not a big new Toyota fan.

I drove a Nissan Murano once to much rode noise and interior noice IMOP they ride like sh*t.

If your looking for gas mileage, dont go the trailblazer route. Had my daughters in one for a couple of years and it got around 14-16 mpg.
