Practice grasshopper. Practice.

Yeah I thought I'd missed too. Finally dug down little further and they popped out.

I killed about 4 today brush hogging the field, seen about 50.. Not a very good kill ratio.. Thinking the next time I cut it Ill carry the 4.10 shotgun with me. 12g is a bit overkill.

Damn 50? You got a mole farm there in PA? Have to admit that would be fun. A field full of them and a shotgun in hand.

Your avatar cracks me up every time I see it.

FWIW I read about a live trap setup for them. Find their active trails, dig a hole deep enough to place a 5 gallon bucket in the path of the active trail with the lip of the bucket about 6" below the top of the ground. Cover the hole with the bucket with a piece of plywhood. They dig away and fall into the bucket and can't get out.

Something a tree hugger would do. Too much work and would mess up the yard worse than they do.

Also read that they are very territorial. Most you would find in about an acre would be 2 or 3. I've taken out 3 in my one acre and haven't seen any more trails in a couple days. Guess I'm good till some more move in.
