I carry around a can of mud in my truck. Just so when I see a nice pretty roll pan truck parked in the back forty I park just like that guy did. Except I won't hit it...I just throw a little silverado poop on it. It's a truck...it's begging to "get dirty". Oh, and then I leave a dewmanshu/pt.net sticker on the window.

Dude I feel your pain. I just had my 01 GMC painted, and some dumb *** rolled a shopping cart at it. I mean, rolled it at my truck. After a heated discussion, and the cops cannot help cuse it's a private lot. I backed down and waited for him to drive off. Followed to his next destination, and at the right moment. Pulled out a 2 foot screwdriver, and ruptured his AC. I know now it was excessive, but man it felt good.

Thanks for all the above.
First, it's not comprehensive when a vehicle (or shopping cart) hits you, regardless if you are driving or not. -Per AAA
My comp deduct is $100
My collision is $500
According to AAA comp is for non-collision such as keying paint, something falling on it, etc.
collision is for impact whether moving or not. A person rolling a cart into your door is collision. Another vehicle hitting you is collision. It does not matter that you were not driving.
I have yet to hear from my insurance company, think I'll give them a call!

Sounds like your detective work payed off! If you would have just drove off you'd be up Sh!^ creek. Here's to hoping your body shop does a clean job on the repair!
