If one shop wont call it totaled, take it somewheres else and see what they say. Being a unibody, it wont just be a pannel replacement, its prob F'ed up all the way through.

If they dont total it smash the oil pan with a hammer and run the engine out of oil and tell them it must have been from the accident....
