That sucks sooooo much man! Conservation of momentum at its finest. Seems like you have good insurance and that this won't be but an anoying setback. I hope your friends leg/knee gets better. Injuries like this take a long time to heal since our bodies weren't designed for such impacts.
I'd say kick the ******' minivan driver in the nuts, but he obviously doesn't have any. His wife took them when she told him to buy the minivan and she now keeps them in a jar. He was probably trying to kill himself because he had to drive a castration-mobile.
