need more torque from my 5.3l

i've seen both on here and other forums guys saying the rear end wont be far behind the trans due to the increased power from the 6l

I paid 1200 for my lq9, but they do command a higher price than a lq4 simply because it came out of an escalade.
Let me tell you, I would not drive my truck anymore without a 6 liter. A stock one wont turn your truck into a speed demon but it makes driving
Much more enjoyable. In the 2.5 years ive had the 6 liter my truck had never downshifted out of overdrive on any grade on the highway, whereas the 4.8 would have to downshift or youd lose 5-10 mph. Horrid low end torque. The 6.0 actually accelerates up a grade with very light throttle tip in. Bottom line do the swap.

would 4.10's be a better middle ground? 4.56's are lower than i wanted to go cause the truck sees a lot of highway use pulling the boat to fishing holes and lakes to swim. i wanted to put a small lift and cut the fenders for 35's but i'm starting to think twice cause a 6.0L with 35's will break the bank trying to keep gas in it

Bottom line you need a 93 octane tune. My 6.0 truck was a nutless wonder from a dig on the factory tune. Now Im running a Wheatley tune on 93 octane and it will BOIL the 22's im running. Anywhere in Arkansas 93 is about 20 cents higher than regular. My tank holds 22 gallons when the gas light is on. Thats about $4.40 a tank. If you multiply that by 52 weeks in a year if you have to fill up once a week thats $228.80 a year. If you cant shell out an extra couple hundred bucks of year for this "performance" youre after, youve come to the wrong place my friend. The reason everyone keeps telling you the same things is because they work.
My truck dropped 8 tenths off its 1000ft time at Centerville with a 93 octane tune compared to the stock tune on the EXACT same setup. The number one killer in the stock tune is TORQUE management. Get rid of that and throw some 93 in the mix and your truck will grow some *****. A good 93 octane tune and full bolt ons will get you the power youre after. And if you keep your foot out of it the 93 octane tune will net you better gas mileage. I went from an average of 16.1 on the stock tune and now im averaging 19.2.
