Default need opinions, 68/69 big block ranchero...would you??

So i talked to my dad earlier tonight and he has a lead on a low 11 second big block ranchero.

The only problem, is that the big block is gonna be a gas guzzler, and lets face it, the 68/69 ranchero is not pretty.

If its cheap enough you can use the big block somewhere else if you want. If you don't like the car for any other reason besides the drivetrain then pay what the drivetrain is worth to you.

unless cheap i would pass on it. today a 11 sec car is easy to attain. some old gear heads think you need a pig block to go fast. 11s are stock times today.

I say PASS, but if you are serious find out the casting numbers on the heads. DOVE & DIVE being better than say C9VE's. Is the block also a 70' or is it a 71' like the car? The 70' 429 block had a 10.3" deck height and the 71' was the taller 10.31". Only really small details but good to know anyways.
