Well im hoping either of you are right, im dropping the radiator off in 30 minutes for the day, and picking up a fan clutch as well. Both will be installed tonight and we will see what happens.
Ill keep ya posted.

20 miles on the highway last night, never went above operating temp.
Radiator was 45% plugged, threw a brand new one in and bled the cooling system, drove and couldnt be better.
God i am so relieved, thanks so much for all the help guys. Now i just gotta figure out why the gauge jumps slightly and why the rear main throws a few drips out only after vehicle is shut off and why the air bag light flashes.
But ill worry about that another day, for now, time to get smashed.
thanks again to everyone for the help.

Just took it for an hour ride with the scanner on. Temp never hit 200, in fact temps on the highway stayed right about 190-194, and on the street it would peak at 195 then drop to about 188 and continue that cycle. God i feel like that damn van just fell off my shoulders. Thanks for all the help here guys, i appreciate it.

You have no idea, i can actually sit and watch the home team (White Sox) play with a beer in my hand, instead of laying under the van full of coolant listening on the radio.

after the radiator shop is done, you should have full cooling ability back
