Default !!!The Official Workout and Fitness Thread!!!

Here it is fellas. This is to talk about fitness, workouts, nutrition, supplements and everything related.

I'll start my posting a bit about me.

I'm on a cut from 226 pounds. I'm currently at 193 pounds after just over 2 months.

I'm not doing any designer diets, just simply counting calories, lifting weights 4-5 days a week, and doing tons and tons of cardio.

Goals-To cut down to 190 pounds and then bulk up to 205 and then start another cut.

For those new to losing weight and want a bit of guidance, here is something I put together for some guys on GMFULLSIZE. Maybe it can help someone:

I'm on a constant bulk, I've gone from 185lbs to 210lbs, and my goal is 225lbs. It's alot harder to gain muscle then to loose fat.

I'm round. does that count?
Seriously I need to get into some form of shape. Can't go to the Trooper Academy looking like I do now.

6'4" @225lbs need to cut it back to about 200-210ish then build it up a lil bit.

i stopped dipping and drinking cokes so i hope that helps a lil. plan on picking back up the running routine like i was when i was pitching

Most effective way... I'm on a very similar routine for the time being. I have an Olympic distance triathlon I'm training for so bulking is not a goal at all. Lifting and swimming nearly cancel each other out as far size goes.

Currently 5'11" and 175lbs. I wouldn't mind getting down to 165, but its not a goal. This would be quite low percent body fat.

To build on that, how accurate are the hand-held body fat testers? I would guess not very...

I'll jump in here with some before pictures I took just now. I'm at around 6'1" and hover anywhere from 187-193 depending on the day. As far as goals, I'd like to clean up my physique (especially around the mid-section) a little. I usually try to eat fairly good but I still go enjoy the occasional restaurant anywhere from 1-4 times a week. Hopefully this will give me some motivation to get a little closer to my goals.

I'm getting a little better. I'm still making progress. Current weight is 193 lbs at 5'10".

Anyone have any guesses on my bf%? I don't even have a ball park.
