Last year with no e-mail warning, my Paypal account was slapped with $13k of electronic purchases... E-bay took care of the errors.

I can see that. All the ones i've ever had where laid out a lil different than that address.
Just gotta remember the rules. paypal's login page has an address of www.paypal.com/ and never log in to ANY web sites via an email link. Always go directly to the site your self.
People make that mistake ALL the friggin time on myspace which is we we get spammed in the comments box.

I almost got popped by a phishing scam email thru ebay last week. Almost clicked the link, but something told me to check my account first, went on there and everything looked fine, sent ebay the email for them to check out, and sure enough, it was a phishing scam.

Bastards are tricky though, but looking back I should have known. They addressed the email funny, not using my actual ebay id. If you pay attention to the emails, you can usually tell.
