Ran castrol forever, never a issue. I have recently switched to rotella.. As for synthectics go, to each their own.. You keep your oil changed correct, and the engine will stay plenty clean..

Thats what I usually do in the Jeep, Boat, Grandparents, and Cutlass. The last truck always had Mobil 1 and since in other rigs ive only ran Castrol. I went with the cheapest for the wifes car and snagged a wix filter and six quarts of Pennzoil synthetic for $30 so I will stick to that plan for now on!!!
