I agree. I know this kid pretty well actually and he has a lot of seat time on a bike. I have only put about 50 miles on a bike total and I know not to do something like that. Hope he gets better soon though. Nice kid, just one mistake and he is screwed for the rest of his life.

Imagine, if used those fingers beforehand(no pun intended) and went to google

13.99$ and he'd still have his fingers and self respect.

i never used to rag on my chain when i cleaned. i always used a toothbrush , since it has a long handle.
poor guy, anyone that flames him should get kicked in the nuts, the guy lost part of his fingers , for the rest of his life.

i think not, to do it and lose your fingers is one form of stupid.
to post pictures and let everyone know the stupid **** you did is priceless.

Why, when the guy is hitting himself in the nuts with a baseball bat, and inviting everyone else to, as well?
Agreed - it's as if he's bragging, "Look how stupid I am!!"
But, it must be said that if even one person gets to keep his/her fingers as a result of reading this (and figuring out a different way to clean their chain), then it will have been worth it. He's certainly performing a service, at the expense of his own public image.

Yea I agree with all of you, but if you read his post he is posting the pics so that everyone out there is aware of what could happen. He is trying to keep someone else from making that mistake for themselves.
