damn those are some big ships.... my wife used to work in that industry, seaboard marine, mediterenean...? I know seaboard is mostly central/south america but the other one was more wideworld... good industry... she was here local though running all the paper work for each of the containers... I work right on the ship channel here in houston so I see alot of them ships everyday.....

Some good pics. I miss the open ocean on occasion. There not a better sunset or sunrise or clear sky then out in the middle of the ocean. Only place I haven't been out of those pics is china. Wouldn't mid hearing a few sea stories. You can never hear/tell to many

Pretty cool pics! Do you work for Matson? Once, while working in the Marshall Islands, I had the chance to go on a tug trip from Kwajalein to Panama; pick up 2 1600class Army LCU's, and tow them back to Kwaj. 30 days going down, and it was EXTREMLY rough! On the return trip, towing the 2 LCU's for 40 days, it was glass calm ALL the way back! Almost scary, thinking something could blow up a storm at any minuite! The only problem encountered on the way home, the electronics went south on the autopilot, and we had to steer manually watching the compass, using a yardstick to turn the rudder lever from the Captain's chair. Sunrise over the open ocean at flat calm is a sight to behold!
