I don't know guys. I'm a big F1 fan and those engines are mean. I say leave the big 8s to the muscle car/truck guys, and go with the small high revving motor. I like it.

Significantly, Corvette won’t abandon its more classic powertrain roots entirely. There will be several different types of engines offered for the C7, including a more classic, big-block OHV V-8 designed to appeal to traditionalists.
This and the interior improvements could be good, though the small displacement is not a plus for me, but as long as they keep the big V8 on the option list

whats this world coming to? Seems like all america does is try to accommodate every one else but americans. the corvette is an AMERICAN muscle car. Why try to be like everyone else?

It doesn't bother me that its a small CI. it kills me that its overhead cam. I know the technology is good, but I love that GM has old school technology getting as good gas milage as all of these other companies trucks with OHC.
