thats what I liek to hear! They did say the pcm would be HARDER to crack, doesnt mean they will be hard, as far as I know no company ever had trouble hacking gm pcms. Also what I ment by 1500 for headers were 1500 for stainless long tubes, american made, LPP's dont count

The diesels computers can't be legally cracked, hence why hp or efi live can't read or write them, if they go the same route on the gassers it's going to **** a lot of people off

I wouldn't worry about the ECM until it's released and we have more info.

I thought EFI could read and write on diesels?

2011 and newer diesels are not supported by EFI Live or HP Tuners.

H&S supports them, but it's not custom tuning.

SCT is supposed to release something eventually and I heard that Banks just released tuning support. Again not a custom tuning option.

Greg Banish had an excellent point on the hptuners forum...

With DI, you have a much smaller window of opportunity to complete the fuel delivery. Added to that, the fuel requires some small amount of time to evaporate prior to combustion as well. This means that we now only have ~25% of the previous window available, so we NEED injectors that at almost 4x larger flow rate just to keep up. Part of this is accomplished with higher pressure, and part of it is the injectors themselves having greater flow rates.

Oh by the way, the high pressure pump is also a big limiting factor on available fuel flow. These are neither cheap nor readily upgraded in the aftermarket due to the complexity of the ECU controls for them.

I will not be the least bit surprised when people start running out of fuel delivery on these engines with significant modifications.
Damn

Damn
a way around this is to add secondary injectors with a fuel controller.

the injection window is a finicky bitch to play with

Wow, I figured that the window would be smaller but I didn't think it would affect it that much. I guess we know why they have injectors that can flow so much!
