I came close to something similar. I went to my mo-in-laws to meet the wife. When I walk in there is, what I thought was my wife, standing with the back to the door. I put my arm around her waist and quickly realize it is a strange female that I had never seen in my life. I was embarresed of course and proclaimed to my wife from down the hall that I saw the blonde hair and thought it was you. She then corrected me that she has had a redish brown hair color for more than a year. Talk about looking like an ***.
I'm just glad I didn't slap her on the *** like I normally would have my wife.
