This isnt plasti-dip or whatever but its flat black SEMI-Gloss spray paint. I get ZERO lines, runs, visible cross hatching etc. The FLAT does and will leave lines. but the semi gloss dries slightly slower so you can get an even coat and it dries very uniformed.

Ive had probably 10 people ask me if I'd paint their vehicles. I said you know its spray paint right??? They say "I dont care it looks awesome and has held up. And How the hell do you not get lines and runs???" I say, " You paint it like you would if you paint in a booth with automotive base."

Its all in the technique. You got to sweep side to side and keep moving. Dont stop at the end of the panel. "Cross hatch" to cover the lines while its still wet. then I ALWAYS lay a light coat with about twice distance than the first few just to lay over and lay overtop and blend it all in. My truck was painted outside 100%

As far as the technique goes, I have painted alot of things, from rattle can to a gun, have always had great results, this was not my first rodeo.. When my hood was flat, I did it via rattle can, it turned out great.. This stuff for what ever reason did not flow out like that.. Whether it was the can/spray tip or what ever, it did not come out.. All the coats were very even, over lapped as they should have been..

I read somewhere, that if you want to paint larger surface areas with PD, you should buy the can, use thinner, and shoot it with a gun. You might try that, if you still wanna try again.

Ok i saw this thread when i was about to make one about plasti-dip.

Ive been wanting to paint my plastic grill inserts matte black and the grey plastic around my hitch cover.

QUESTION: Would the spray adhere to the plastic? I dont want to try it and it turn out like ****...

And is it just temporary. I dont want it to start peeling and have to be a constant project

It should hold up fine. Mine has been on for over a week now, still holding up... Just clean it, do not wax it, it will be tuffer to get off.. But again it is just temp stuff..
