Default Spoolin's Ship

Spoolin was in port for a day here in the Port of Oakland and invited a few of us to come tour the ship. This thing was a floating city, enjoy the pics!

yeah, i was like getting really dizzy with the scale of it. I spent a large part of my life onthe sea and I ran boats for a living for years but nothing of this caliber. There were miles of tunnels and chambers with machine shops, electrical engineering, fire control, engine control, galley, etc.

that pic with the long shiney rod coming down from above is the connecting rod (spare) attached the the piston on the deck two stories above.
