Default Spoonbill fishing

I got invited to go snag some Spoonbill this Sunday at Grand Lake. Anyone ever done this before? Something new for me but it sounds like fun. Might have to postpone my header install to go fishing.

I have know idea where we are going. A guy my stepdad works with has a cabin on Grand Lake somewhere and a pontoon boat.

On another note...My wife just noticed the last line in you sig.--- She didn't get it until I told her to think about it a little more.

no spoonbill is an actual fish...you snag them. you use a big *** treble hook and as your reelin in you jerk the **** out of your rod. its pretty damn fun when you lay into about a 40 pounder...from the bank.

I don't know who these guys are. Just a picture I found, but this is what they look like.

Here is a link to another good picture. It is bigger than I wanted to post on here.

Hmm I hope there is not a 1 a day limit. I was looking on a Grand Lake fishing report webpage and it says that some guy snaged 19 last Sunday some over 50 lbs.
