Well I made it back safe from spoonbill fishing. I didn't catch one. You can catch and release as many as you want, but there is a one per person limit on keeping them. Too bad I couldn't even snag one. Out of the 5 of us fishing we only ended up with 2 that were about 20lbs each. I got some meat from them so I am going to try it out. It is actually suppose to be good stuff if you clean it good. Guess I will find out.

Ate some spoonbill tonight for dinner! I think it's actually pretty good stuff. Has a good flavor that is not fishy or overpowering. The batter I made kind of sucked, but the fish is good!
