You could wear spurs around here this week, and nobody would think anything of it. It is Rodeo week and thurs. and fri. are holidays for kids in school. There's a parade a big rodeo and everything. Half this town shuts down too. It's pretty bad.
You would get arrested for wearing the assless chaps though.
Oh yeah, spurs don't help you ride a horse. It's a good thing there's no PETA people around here.

I actually see people wearing spurs pretty often in my town. Of course I live in a very Horse populated area. Every time I see my horse vet he's got his on. Lots of chicks wear them all over the place. I've got a set, but only wear them in the arena when I ride.
If you are set on buying some the best bet is to go to a horse tack shop and try them on. I've got a place close to me that has tons of them in different sizes and styles, the only way to really get a good fit is to try them.
