Default the term LSX

I know about the LSX block that GM makes but are the engines in our trucks considered LSX style engines. What I'm asking is can the term LSX refer to the engines in our trucks?

X is just used as a common variable. Like LS1 LS6, x just replaces the dam number.

Then GM made that block to confuse everyone.

So I think it can be said we have lsx styling in our engines, id rather have and LSx block....

I think it all depends on how technical people want to get really.

They are all either Gen III or Gen IV engines so I don't see the big deal about calling the truck variants LS engines even though technically they don't have LS designations.

I've seen LSX and LSx used to refer to all the Gen III/IV engines. LSx is probably the better of those two considering the GM block LSX that you mentioned already.
