Default Thinkin about buying a boat

I was looking at something like the
Nordic Rage(25ft/600hp 502ci)
or
Nordic Heat(28ft/600hp 502ci)

www.nordicpowerboats.com (v-bottoms, open bow)

Any other idea's or suggestions from boaters?

Where do you live, what kind of water? Lake, river, ocean? What will you want to use it for? Fishing? Skiing?

The Nordics seem like single purpose (speed) boats

Nordic makes a nice boat. Where are you going to be using it? That will make the decision easier.

Nordic does make a very good boat.. What ever you buy make sure it has a "Bravo 1" Or bigger outdrive. and also pull the plug on the bottom of the outdrive Looking for small metal shavings or water, when the plug is pulled the water will come out first. be sure it's the plug at the bottom of the case where the prop shaft is. Since your a performance truck guy you probably know about motors. but a new outdrive is $5000.00 bucks try to not get a bad one.. any other boat questions PM me, I have built boats all my life, I know a little..

speaking from past experiance, a boat is nothing but a hole in the water that you dump money into

I bought a 60's tri-hull with a Johnson 40hp beginning last summer for $350, sold it in september to a buddys friend for $450. They call it the rotton banana (it was an off/faded yellow)

I think this was the only known time in history a boat was sold for a profit!

Brian is dead on. Between my father and I, we have two boats and a seadoo. I'm not going to say how much money we've dumped into them. Don't get me wrong, they're tons of fun and I love having them, but sometimes they're a pain. Just know that having a boat is more work than having a car.
