I spend 80% of the year working in tx..
There are 3 main area's IMO.. Dallas area,San Antonio/Austin area and Houston area..
Each place has tons of stuff to see and do..
The wife and i go to San Antonio atleast 2-3 times a year and hang out downtown..
Texas is a nice place to be but there are 2 reasons ill never live here.. 1. is front license plates/front window stickers.
2. is emissions testing ...

Emissions testing is only in certain emissions counties which are generally around the big cities, my truck is registered in a non emissions county
My truck also doesnt have a front plate, and you can put the window stickers side by side down at the bottom so you dont even really see them.

went to san antonio, the boardwalk was pretty neat and all the stuff to be seen there. then went down to south padre island for spring break which was pretty rad.
if i could guarantee a career there i would totally move.

The San Antonio area is fill with stuff to do. There is Alamo, River walk, short drive to The Gualupe River(best beer drinking tubing river ever), Schiltter baun, Texas ski ranch, The Girls of Texas State are always fun. (married one lol) Then if you go a little north you have all the bad *** lakes that austin has to offer and a really cool night life of south congress, i guess 6th st if you are into clubing. Texas ROCKS my friend.
THIS is the way to go!!! I would do exactly this. and even stop in san marcos to visit the outlet malls. there will be the Texas state girls there, and yes they are fun! (im dating one) even if your not into shopping its something to see. if your coming in the summer, you HAVE to go float the guadelupe! its the ****!
