Is the glock a comfortable gun? It looks rather wide and bulky compared to some of the others? I think I'm starting to want a 1911 though

Go find a store and put one in your hands. I hated glocks until I started shooting them.

Glocks are very comfortable, even moreso with a Hogue grip.

That taurus is a copy of a beretta. They are made using the same dies, presses as bert is, however I find the quality of them not to be a nice or smooth. I would pass on a taurus semi, might consider their revolvers.. I will always say to check out a SIG, that is by far my fav gun, gun that I own,sig 229 in .40 cal. I found I shot the best with it, out of the other guns I shot.. But it will run you more then 500 buks... Go shoot a bunch of diff guns, get the one you feel and shoot the best with.. Thats the only real way to go IMO

How much does it cost to go to a range and rent say 5 guns for 30 min or an hour?

Dont know when you turn 21 but Im coming up to Coreys in a couple months, you can shoot my pistol if you want. Either way for target ammo blazer brass is awesome, shoots a little dirty but its CHEAP.

Not sure really, but I just searched texas in wheretoshoot.org and came up with this:

http://www.wheretoshoot.org/Find_Ran...subresults.asp

This filtering the search for places that rent handguns and allow you to shoot. I don't know your exact area... but this should give you a decent place to start with lol
