Ehhh...Problem with a STI or even a WRX(as Jared poited out) is that I'm gonna wanna mod it. We all know how unreliable our cars become when we start tinkering with them, and I'd be too tempted to tinker with the Subes...
Other than appearance, audi's are best left untouched since they are more luxury than our trucks so parts are more $$ and one modded car is enough. VW it's almost not worth modding it, and the volt is too new to mod, and I wouldn't know what to do with it anyways.

Either way I'd go the TDI
I haven't looked at their website yet, cuz if I do I know I'll be commited!!

Voting looks pretty split!! hmm....

I hate timing belts. but thats just me. the TDI's have a 100k mile timing belt, or used too anyway. if you were 100 city I would say volt. and as far as a manual gearbox goes, the 6 speed trans that vw, and audi has are nice imo.

Yeah, VW and Audi are pretty much the exact same car in regards to chassis and drivetrain. Same company even. Just different body and interiors.

Cadillac 3.6L.. I saw one at the stealership and loved it. Buy the time I'm ready to buy, get one at a decent price, get a turbo and tune, and I'll be happy.
