Only truck I will ever have that is a ecsb will be a duramax, thats if i can not get it in a rglb with the options i want.. I love my reg cab truck.. 1 you don't get bugged to give a **** load a people a ride.. You won't accumulate a ton of junk in the back seat and floor area..
Ohh and for the most part they go faster with less hp

I went from a CC to a RC and I'm more than happy. I loved my CC when it came to towing, hauling gear and friends to the mountains and what not. I hated it when I started modding it and trying to park it on a daily basis since I live in LA and it was my DD.
RC I love as a DD and for entertainment value as it handles really well, however it's not as practical when looking to haul stuff, gear or take friends around since it's only a two seater. Decide what you use your truck for and go from there.

Good posts.
Spooling - the ext. cab will still be here, so really all that stuff about hauling, carrying passengers, etc. will be moot.
DLT - I was hoping you'd post in here, I know you just got rid of the reg cab, but I wasn't sure how much you'd be able to comment given it wasn't an apples to apples change on the motors.
I'm gonna just start browsing for a RC work truck....I know the basic 99-02 models had curb weights under 4000 lbs, which is nice. What will be hard is 1) finding something not beat to hell and 2) one with a v8. I will take a look at the big v6 to v8 swap thread though.

My truck was a base model 4.8, other then a chrome rear bumper and CD, tilt wheel, dual climate control.. Never had it weighed, but it might be a rare truck in your neck of the woods, as rcsb v8 trucks are non existent in mine.. When I wanted a rcsb truck loaded with the 5.3, 373's my dealer told me that is a special order truck, isn't even made. After I joined the sight, I found down south they are all over the fuggn place.. Now they are getting more abundant around here..Just saying..
