Thinking about mounting gauge in overhead console

it's not that hard . . . make a templet of whatever is going in there. I used masking tape and marked off the area. The curve is very visable when it's been traced out.
I didn't use a hole saw. I had a dremel with a small part off wheel. I hacked at it for a while, then buffed the edges with a drum sander attachment. The wires for the guage were short, so they were cut and extended, and soldered. I used a coat hanger to "fish" the wires through the head liner vs taking it down. Take off the piller trim, and there's enough room to push the wires between the headliner and the cab roof.

I just installed a dakota digital brushed billet piece in that spot. The fit is great and it looks good, but can't see the gauges for ****. I have prosport gauges and faces sit really deep inside the housing. I think Autometer gauges would be more visable, but I went ahead and ordered the SoCal Overhead mount. It angles the gauges towards the driver to make them more visable. Another thing is they stick out like a sore thumb at night. I think I'm gonna wire the lights through a toggle switch so that people dont flag me down to say "whatcha got in dat thang?"
