Default Truck or Drag car build

Well i have my silverado in my sig that i am currently turboing but i have been having a bit of a change of heart,

My buddy has a 69 camaro that is race ready just needs lexan windows, and drivetrain which i would put what i have setup for my silverado in it instead and go with a cammed stock motor and trans in my truck..

The car is mostly fiberglass, alumunuim floor pan, truck firewall, dash, tubed with 9in, ladderbar, coilovers, wheelie bars and other misc stuff. car prolly weighs in at around 1500-2000lbs or so i can push it with 1 handed no problem

Current setup for my truck is

5.3 custom heads vic jr intake, 72mm front mount turbo, th400 with transbrake custom harness

What would yalls input be??

Finish building the car, for racing. Mild upgrades on the truck, for towing the car to the track(and DD duty).

It will be so much cheaper & easier to make that car a consistent racer.

Track cars are boring, very little return on investment. Just my opinion.

Excactly what my thoughts were.... Put 6.o and airbag helpers and its a fun and usable truck, thats where i wanna be again the last couple of years the trucks been a trailor queen and a shop hog. i wanna be able to hop in it and go where ever i want again. and with this race car i have something to have fun with when i come home from out of town on the weekends..

As far as consistency im not to much worried about that i just want a car that i can do whatever to and not worrie about it,where my truck theres mod that i wanna do but i dont wanna tear up my truck doing so, since its got sentamental value to me..

Itll probably end up looking similar to one of these but red.. Hopefully lol...

I would never build or own a Track only car... If you can't get in something and drive it everyday or take it on a 1 hour road trip, IMO it is not worth having....
