people make mistakes, HENCE instant replay... i dont understand why instant replay isnt apart of all pro sports... at least in football you have a challenge flag... this should be instituted in all pro sports, there is just too much money on the line for their not to be.
Companies spend millions of dollars each year on quality control, using cameras, robots, and technology to circumvent human error - why not in professional sports?
That call should be over turned and that ump should get a kick to the junk and a mandatory eye exam should be standard for all refs and officials before the start of each season - you do maintenance on robots that build cars, why not on officials?

I really, REALLY hope they overturn that call and he gets the perfect game. Think about it this way though, not only did he get a perfect game, he got a perfect game +1 extra out. I think that puts him on the top of the list as far as perfect games go in the hall of fame lol.

Bud Selig does have the authority to overturn the call. George Brett's homerun that was called an out because of the pine tar too far up the bat was eventually overturned and allowed to keep his homerun ( according to google). But do we really want it overturned. What's next, called strike three in the world series getting overturned. Sucks for the pitcher but **** HAPPENS.

true but what if you had the winning lottery ticket and you last number was 9 and the ball popped out was a nine and they said 6 and you didn't win, would you be pissed that you were that close to be booted by some dumbass that cant read the number on the ball??????
Just a scenario! I'm not a avid sports fan but idk, I think that swinging the game in favor right there!
