Unsafe speed for existing conditions maybe? You don't have to be exceeding the speed limit for your speed to be unsafe. I'm not too familiar with CA traffic law, though.

hey Bill, I too did the same thing and got a ticket for it. Mine was actually for "Improper turning movement", he cut me a break with that, but if I went to court he said he woulda upped it to wreckless. Unsafe speed is light man, take it and run. If you go to court, theres a dam good chance its in record some where that your tires were no longer in traction

1st of all, once the ticket is written they can't come back with a lame other charge and only a fool doesn't go to court even if wrong, the fines are always less if you make an appearance. It wasn't like I was screaming WOT, it was just a rapid maneuver and yes I was being an ***....doesn't mean I want to take a ticket for it
